Mâcon Péronne 2007 en Bouteille 75cl
Terroir:
100% Chardonnay, the cuvée is produced exclusively on the commune of Péronne. The vines are located on slopes facing south - south-east, on limestone faults.
Vinification - Maturation:
Traditional vinification in stainless-steel tanks, matured on fine lees. Bottled in March 2008 after its malolactic fermentation.
Tasting:
Yellow hue with gold tints, limpid and full of vigour. The nose is fine, delicate, elegant, underpinned by touches of tropical fruit (passion fruit, lychee and mango). Superb palate, tonic, with the fine fleshiness of stone fruit. The overall impression is very mineral and brings a little sharpness to this Mâcon-Péronne. The finish flatters our taste-buds and delights wine-lovers.
Food and wine match:Serve fresh, around 50°F, with a carpaccio of red tuna, grilled king prawns or warm oysters in their shells.
The little extra:
The first vinification of Mâcon-Péronne in 2007 and another success for our oenologist. The 13,000 bottles of this vintage will be in great demand!

VDT Douceur Automnale 14° 50 cl bottle Cuvée Levroutée
Discovery:
100% Chardonnay, this cuvée, harvested in the autumn, is a blend of over-ripe grapes (raisins levroutés).
Tasting:
Straw hue with gold tints. The nose is suave, intensely rich, with hints of honey, spice-bread, mocha and crystallised fruit. The palate is rich and full, with a perfect balance of smoothness and vivacity. Aromas on the palate of ripe fruit with a hint of spices. The finish delights your palate and leaves your senses fascinated...
Food and wine match:
The ideal companion for mi-cuit duck foie gras in a terrine, it is obviously also capable of flattering desserts like a praline parfait or even an idéal mâconnais.
Serve fresh, around 48°F, and surprise your guests by decanting it.
The little extra....
This cuvée is rare, and sold in 50 cl bottles. Only 3,000 of them are produced.

Macon Red 2007 75 cl bottle
Discovery:
100% Gamay, this cuvée comes from the best terroirs of the Mâconnais.
Tasting:
Ruby hue with brick-red tints, crystal clear. A delicious nose, packed with small red fruit, intense when aired. The palate is smooth, frank, delightful with its acidulous aromas. Aromas of wild strawberry and redcurrant on the palate. The finish has some spirit but is quite docile.
Food and wine match:
Serve around 60°F to accompany pan-fried veal kidneys, roast pork with sage or a flank of beef - gratin dauphinois.
The little extra....
Today, the Mâconnais is an 85% white-wine terroir, but until the 19th century, the only grape variety planted there was Gamay.
